Scrapbook shower

My mom is "hosting" an informal scrapbooking shower for me. She'll have a couple people come to her place to work on pages for our baby's first year, and she's also letting people know they can make pages to add to the scrapbook and have them sent to either her or to myself. I have been working on a scrapbook for Caleb for awhile now, and still am on his 1st month of life! So this is an awesome idea. The general jist is that you can choose one or more subjects from a year in the life of Sister (name will not be revealed until birth). All these pages will be collected into a 12X12 scrapbook and I will add photos for that event in her life as I pass it. If I need more pages, I can add them as needed. You have free creative reign. All I ask is that it's on 12X12 paper and you leave room for pictures and maybe some journaling. If you live in my mother's area, and you would like to be invited to the scrapbooking party, please let me know by emailing me your address and I will have her invite you. I will unfortunately not be able to attend, being so close to my due date, but my mom will take pictures to add to the scrapbook and if you cannot go and just want to make a page or two, please take a picture of that process so we can make a nice collage. Looks like the shower will be postponed until this summer when we all can be up in Michigan. Please feel free to do the pages ahead of time and send them. I will let you know when we will be in Michigan so you can meet both Baby Sister and her Big Brother, Caleb!

To get scrapbook ideas, please visit your local craft store or scrapbooking
store. You may also pick up magazines or books at various places including
Walmart, Target, etc. Please feel free to go to a search engine (dogpile.com
or google.com etc) and enter "scrapbooking ideas" or "scrapbook page

More Details:

1. You will need to use 12x12 Pages (you can buy paper in a pack or in
singles at many different stores)
2. We are leaving the design/layout up to your creativity. We only ask
that you create a couple of places to place pictures and a spot to write
something about the day/event.
3. Let me know which page(s) you would like to do and we will put your name
down next to it on the list. We will post these on the website so that
everyone will see what has already been selected.
4. We will be doing a page regarding the "scrapbook party" and those who
send pages for the baby's scrapbook willbe included. If you can't make
it to the party, please have someone take a picture of you while you work on
your scrapbook page so we can add it to the special page(s).
5. We will have some scrapbook supplies available to use at the party.
